The poly chair, with a spacious armrest, sits at the intriguing intersection between relaxation and productivity. It supports the active and dynamic work environments we are moving towards, both at home and in the office.
The design breaks the seat into facets that are placed at different angles and thus approximate an ergonomic shell-shaped seat. To facilitate repairs to the chair, all seating elements are screwed to the metal frame, making them easy to repair.
The core concept revolves around improving material efficiency and promoting circularity.
Upcycling fundamentally transforms our relationship with both consumption and waste. The POLY is focused on optimizing the use of processed waste and residual materials. Wooden parts are made from discarded office table tops. Metal parts are powder coated from 100% leftover powder. The upholstery is composed of surplus materials.
By rethinking our view of residual materials, we discover the potential to use them as new raw materials.
